Anti-perspirants contain aluminum salts that help plug your pores so you don’t sweat as much. For example, a 2002 studied evaluated over 4000 people over the course of several years and found no increased risk of disease (whether the patients used APs or even ate antacids which also contain Al salts.) It just wasn’t reliable.
